1. Who we are

Semradr Inc. ("Semradr", "we", "us") runs semradr.com and the Semradr product at app.semradr.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect on the marketing site and in the product, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

Information you give us:

• Email address, when you subscribe to the weekly brief, the blog or the changelog.
• Name, work email, company and time zone, when you book a walkthrough.
• Account details, your chosen markets and categories, and anything you save, when you start a trial or use the product.
• Messages you send us.

Information collected automatically:

• Pages viewed, links clicked, and the campaign or page you came from.
• Device, browser and approximate location, derived from your connection.
• A small flag in your browser storage that remembers that you subscribed, so we do not ask again.

We do not ask for a credit card to start the 7-day free trial.

3. How we use it

• To send the emails you asked for, such as the weekly brief, and to send you product and signup follow-ups related to that request.
• To book and run walkthroughs.
• To provide, secure and improve the product.
• To understand which pages and messages work, using aggregated usage measurement.
• To meet legal obligations and to prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Email and consent

When you subscribe, you agree to receive our emails, including a free brief and weekly newsletters. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to [email protected]. We stop within a reasonable time after you unsubscribe.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Semradr, such as email delivery, scheduling, hosting, analytics and payment processing, and only as needed for those services. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or in a merger or sale of the business, with notice to you where required.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use browser storage and analytics tools to remember preferences and measure how the site is used. You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. The site works without them, though some conveniences may reset.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information while your account or subscription is active and for as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit. No service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict some processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. This includes rights under laws such as the GDPR and Nigeria's NDPA. To use any of these, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity first.

10. International transfers

Semradr serves customers in many countries, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

11. Children

Semradr is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

We will post changes here and update the date above. For material changes we will also tell you by email or in the product.
